How will you make an impact in this role?
As part of the Global Litigation and Investigations Team, the Legal Analyst – Team Leader will lead a team of Legal Operations Specialists and provide dedicated operations support to the Global Legal Order Processing Center of Excellence.
Job Description:
- Ensure compliance with US and other global laws and regulations and applicable procedures
- Responsible for managing case load of assigned colleagues
- Provide effective coaching and timely feedback to assigned colleagues
- Drive colleague productivity, quality and timeliness of work to meet established goals/metrics
- Escalate complex issues to legal advisory team for action
- Collaborate with legal advisory team to identify process gaps and offer solutions
- Focus on colleague quality and encourage high quality performance
- Ensure legal and regulatory deadlines are met and request extensions when required
- Educate colleagues on the quality standards identified for our business
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues to assure adherence to procedures
- Maintain current knowledge of privacy laws and other regulatory requirements identified for our business
- Assist with development and execution of colleague training
- Onboard colleagues
- Manage colleague communications
- Conduct mid-year and year-end performance reviews
- Ensure compliance with US laws and regulations and applicable procedures
- Provide operational support to teams on projects as required by Counsel or other Team Leaders
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in law, management or related subjects.
- At-least 3-5 years of experience in leading a team in an operations/ in-house legal environment.
- Strong people management skills such as coaching, communication and performance management
- Able to demonstrate strong colleague centric understanding and build strong relationships with others on a global team
- Able to deliver results in accordance with business goals and objectives
- Sense of urgency, ability to discern critical matters
