How will you make an impact in this role?
American Express Global Merchant Network Services (GMNS) manages all aspects of our vitally important merchant relationships. The Business Solutions Intern will play a key role in supporting the GMNS organization that will provide support to the first Line of Defence (1LoD) and will require working closely with stakeholders across Business Unit, Control Management, Compliance, Legal and Risk to enable protection and growth for the GMNS business.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Support GMNS PMO in managing regulatory change implementation with regular status reporting
- Support coordination within internal and external audits
- Support business in Control implementation by timely testing of controls and remediation
- Work with GMNS Control Management and Risk Advisory teams to identify the root cause and align with Control Management
- Support Quality & Oversight stakeholders required to effectively manage cross-business initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail capabilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data and reporting tasks.
This is a 12 month contractual role
Learning Outcomes & Growth
- Gain end-to-end exposure to Merchant lifecycle management, testing processes, and business analysis within a global fintech environment.
- Develop practical skills in requirement management, testing, data analysis, and stakeholder coordination.
- Learn agile delivery, quality assurance, and customer experience design frameworks.
- Build a strong foundation for roles such as Business Analyst, Product Associate, QA Engineer, or Product Owner.
