Function Description
Global Commercial Services (GCS) accounts for nearly 50% of American Express’ card spend. GCS continues to be a fast-growing business within American Express with the key objectives of accelerating growth, increasing profitability, and enhancing product value propositions to meet client needs. Within GCS, the Client Insights & Digital Product (CIDP) team drives this momentum by developing scalable, data-driven digital products that deliver actionable insights and strategic value to commercial clients worldwide.
As Gen AI becomes core to how we design, build, and scale digital products, we are seeking a Manager – Gen AI Enablement & Transformation to drive execution of Gen AI initiatives across the Product organization
Key Responsibilities
1.
Productivity Enablement Using Gen AI:
- Identify opportunities to improve colleague productivity across product development lifecycle
- Evaluate, pilot, and scale Gen AI tools through Internal development, or Third-party vendor solutions (including due diligence, cost–benefit analysis, and enterprise fit).
- Drive measurable efficiency gains across the Product organization through responsible AI adoption.

Gen AI Training & Enablement:
- Design and deliver Gen AI training programs for product managers and cross-functional partners.
- Create practical learning assets (workshops, playbooks, demos, use-case libraries) focused on real-world product applications of Gen AI.
- Act as a trusted advisor and coach, helping teams build confidence and fluency in Gen AI tools and concepts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Change Enablement:
- Partner with Business, Product, Technology, Risk, and Governance teams to ensure Gen AI solutions align with enterprise standards.
- Support change management efforts by embedding Gen AI into day-to-day product workflows.
- Contribute to intake, prioritization, and scaling of new Gen AI use cases under the broader Gen AI governance framework.
Minimum Qualifications
- Expertise in Gen AI & its Risks
- Strong product management skills, with experience owning products end-to-end.
- Strong third party lifecycle management (TLM) experience
- Experience evaluating and implementing third-party SaaS or AI platforms in an enterprise environment.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to explain complex AI concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence without authority.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Hands-on development experience (e.g., Python, APIs, prompt pipelines, AI tooling, or prototyping).
- Background in digital transformation, automation, or developer productivity initiatives.
- Prior experience enabling or training teams on new tools or methodologies.
