Amex Digital Labs is seeking a Vice President of Product Management to lead our digital wallets team. Labs is responsible for catalyzing digital innovation at American Express by originating, incubating, and leading emerging products. We emphasize creativity, customer centricity, and innovation. Focus areas include crafting industry-leading digital payment solutions, using our outstanding servicing network and lifestyle assets to build engaging journeys, and defining new products and services based on emerging technologies and trends.
As a member of the product leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in driving continued growth and innovation across our digital wallets product portfolio, which includes Apple Pay, Google Pay, and others. You will manage a team responsible for defining new features and products in the digital wallets space, working closely with both internal and external partners to set the overall strategic vision and drive the product strategy forward.
How will you make an impact in this role?
- Lead a product team to define, communicate, and deliver the strategy and roadmap for the digital wallets portfolio
- Mentor, train, and support a high-performing product team
- Interpret customer needs, marketplace developments, competitive dynamics, and business goals to build break-through solutions
- Pitch product concepts to secure agreement and support across the enterprise
- Define KPIs for products, guiding where and how to invest resources and prioritize new features
- Drive close partnership with engineering leaders to collectively determine the best solution and approach to product build and delivery
- Partner with business development and enablement leaders to define partnership approach and path to launch
- Develop and cultivate a relationship with key internal and external partners to drive timely, clear decision making
- Drive the team’s enterprise prioritization process to gain support from platforms and channels needed to launch our products and features
- Participate in overall leadership of Amex Digital Labs, taking on special projects to improve team results and culture
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of Digital Product experience, particularly new product development expertise
- Hardworking leader of individuals and product teams, proven aptitude at working with engineering partners
- Customer-centric attitude, passionate about crafting exceptional experiences
- Relationship builder who excels at bringing multiple cross-functional teams together toward common goals
- Enthusiasm and passion for technology and its application to build great products
- Curiosity to know how things work and ability to use that knowledge to make connections and find opportunities for innovation
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, while dealing with uncertainty
- Excellent communication skills with ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners to drive collaboration and alignment
- Tenacity to push innovation agenda inside a large company
Salary Range: $176,750.00 to $282,000.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefits
