Global Merchant & Network Services primarily focuses on the businesses that accept our cards. GMNS Product drives the development of new payment services and products for the American Express Global Network Issuers, Acquirers and Merchants and is responsible for the operation of the payment network, safely and securely processing more than ~$1.6 trillion in transaction volume globally each year.
The Network Product & Enablement team is a critical part of the GMNS Product organization. Our remit spans the maintenance of existing functionality, the development of new products and services, operating the Network and managing the end-to-end partner lifecycle.
The Global ATM team within Network Product & Enablement shapes the future of how American Express provides access to cash – setting the strategy, building and scaling capabilities, onboarding new partners, and managing relationships with 200+ external ATM providers. ATM is a foundational capability for Credit, Charge, and Prepaid, and a key differentiator for American Express Checking accounts.
How will you make an impact in this role?
Reporting to the Director, ATM Digital Product Management, this role sits at the core of how our ATM services are designed, built, and brought to market. You will help define critical product functionality, shape key features, and drive innovation that impacts millions of customers worldwide.
In this role you will drive ATM product strategy, and roadmap execution.
Responsibilities:
- Define the product value proposition and customer experience informed by customer needs, industry trends, and regulatory requirements
- Develop and prioritize a product roadmap and backlog with robust business cases to support the prioritization
- Deliver go-to-market strategy including operational readiness for new features and functionality, and track metrics to measure benefits realized
- Drive strategic initiatives to build and maintain products and capabilities that support product growth
- Track metrics to understand product health and inform strategy
Minimum Qualifications
- Significant experience in product management. Payment/ATM industry experience preferred.
- Project management: outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail, able to autonomously lead several projects in parallel and get results in a fast-paced environment
- Relationship management: Excellent relationship management and collaboration skills with ability to influence internal and external partners.
- Problem Solving: ability to analyze complex issues, evaluate various options, leveraging an innovative mindset to develop effective solutions
- Comfortable with ambiguity: able to operate in an ambiguous environment, leaning into the unknown and bringing others with you on the learning journey
- Communications: Strong communication to present ideas effectively.
- Continuous improvement: Always looking for ways to streamline, simplify, and strengthen processes
