Together, we advance your career.THE ROLE: We are looking for a highly skilled Ethernet QA Lead  with 10+ years of hands-on experience in validating high-speed Ethernet (1G/10G/25G/40G/100G/XGBE) solutions across Linux environments. The ideal candidate will operate as atest lead, drive validation strategy, develop test content, triage complex issues, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure best-in-class quality for networking platforms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead end-to-end Ethernet/XGBE validation for networking and storage platforms.

• Own test planning, execution, coverage analysis, and reporting.

• Perform detailed debug and triage for issues across firmware, OS, driver, and hardware layers.

• Develop robust test content, including new test scenarios, frameworks, and workflows.

• Drive automation for test execution using Python, Shell scripting, and CI workflows.

• Validate Ethernet PHY features, link training, auto-negotiation, FEC, SERDES, RDMA offloads, and other networking capabilities.

• Collaborate with BIOS, firmware, silicon, and OS teams to track issues to closure.

• Execute testing on Linux OS variants such as Ubuntu, Yocto, and custom distros.

• Ensure test readiness, resource planning, and mentoring of junior QA engineers.

• Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience in networking or Ethernet validation.

• Strong expertise in Ethernet/XGBE testing, including PHY modules, MAC/PHY interactions, and high-speed link behavior.

• Hands-on experience with Linux OS environments (Ubuntu, Yocto).

• Ability to act as a test lead, driving validation independently with minimal guidance.

• Work from feature requirement specifications to design, write, and execute comprehensive test cases using modern test frameworks.

• Support test case development based on defined and extrapolated use cases.

• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, packet flows, switching, routing, VLAN, L2/L3 features, offloads, firmware interaction.

• Strong debugging skills across OS logs, driver behavior, firmware responses, and hardware signals.

• Proficiency in automation using Python and Shell scripting.

• Experience with traffic generators (IXIA, Spirent), packet capture tools, and performance measurement tools.

• Exposure to BIOS and firmware technologies UEFI, EDKII, Coreboot (good to have).

• Strong communication, documentation, and cross-team collaboration skills.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, Communication, or a related field.
