As the client and graphics business continues to grow, it is critical to build strong China ecosystem for AMD products in Shenzhen. This Senior Manager will lead Client and Graphics System Engineering (CGSE) team's development and operations in Shenzhen, focusing on enabling components from China partners to lead the ecosystem through quality, speed, and mutual growth. This leader will also collaborate closely with global system engineering team and our partners/customers to define or joint-develop the ODM reference boards/systems within aggressive schedule.

This role demands extensive technical experience, problem-solving capabilities, management acumen, and interpersonal skills. You should be a strong problem solver, an effective communicator, capable of building respect and conveying status updates to executives.

We seek a proactive leader with a proven track record in system design and development. Coupled with the ability to foster cross-team collaboration, mentorship, and the development of technical leaders. Strong multi-functional alignment and team-building skills are essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build a strong system engineering team from scratch in Shenzhen, including lab setup.
  • Lead Shenzhen CGSE team's development and operations to proactively collaborate with China partners to enable comprehensive PC components, such as, memory, storage, Wi-Fi, USB re-timer, EC, etc.
  • Lead Shenzhen CGSE team's development and operations to collaborate with China partners/customers to define or joint-develop the ODM reference boards/systems within aggressive schedule and build strong relationship with AMD partners/customers.
  • Advocate AMD execution culture and lead the team to figure out the innovative solutions relentlessly to overcome the challenges.
  • Collaborate with CGSE global team, especially SRDC team to align the team’s development strategy, training plan, execution culture, priority call, etc.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with key leaders in Shenzhen including HR, IT and facility teams to ensure the team’s operation effective.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 15+ years of experience in system design/development, with 10+ years in management.
  • Strong technical breadth and depth, with expertise in memory sub-system validation, system-level validation, motherboard design or low power system design.
  • Strong sense of ownership and hold the team accountable for deliverables.
  • Out-of-box thinking and lead the team to solve problems and improve productivity with AI
  • Proven track record of strong team motivator, willingness to take responsibilities and effective communication in both English and Chinese.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.
