Join us as we shape the future of AI and beyond. Together, we advance your career.

THE ROLE:

The Quality Returns Debug Team is looking for an RMA Technician who will be responsible for the triage, inspection, and disposition of returned GPU Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs) from customers. This role involves the systematic receipt, verification, and documentation of RMA units, conducting visual and basic diagnostic inspections, assigning appropriate disposition codes, and ensuring accurate data entry into internal databases. The technician will work closely with engineers to support detailed FA investigations and maintain high standards of quality, traceability, and turnaround time.

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy. They thrive in a structured environment, following established procedures while identifying opportunities for process improvement. With strong communication and documentation skills, they collaborate effectively with engineering teams and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the lab. Their ability to manage multiple tasks independently, maintain data integrity, and adapt to evolving priorities makes them a reliable and proactive team member. A hands-on mindset and a commitment to continuous learning are key to their success in a fast-paced, technical setting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive, verify, and log incoming RMA GPU PCBAs, ensuring alignment with internal records.
  • Perform visual inspections for damage, contamination, and mechanical defects; mount units in test systems as needed.
  • Conduct initial triage using diagnostic tools and manufacturing test suites; perform basic electrical and functional screening.
  • Assign disposition codes (e.g., Scrap, Rework, Recovery, Return to Customer) and route units for further failure analysis with detailed notes.
  • Maintain chain of custody for all returned materials and ensure accurate documentation in internal FA databases.
  • Attach supporting evidence such as high-resolution photos and test data; uphold data integrity, traceability, and confidentiality.
  • Follow established RMA and FA triage procedures; identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support team training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Install and maintain test stations; perform corrective and preventive maintenance as needed.
  • Manage inventory of lab and test equipment.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience in electronics repair, triage, or manufacturing quality inspection, including RMA handling.
  • Solid understanding of PCB assemblies, ESD protocols, and basic electronics troubleshooting.
  • Skilled in reading schematics and using diagnostic tools (oscilloscope, multimeter, etc.).
  • Proficient in documenting technical findings, database entry, and report generation.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and adherence to SOPs.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple tasks; able to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Proficient in MS Excel; experience with ERP/MES systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Ubuntu environments and GPU architecture.
  • Experience with GPU boards or complex PCBAs; knowledge of ISO 9001 and IPC-A-610 standards.
  • Basic soldering and rework skills (IPC-7711/7721 certification preferred).

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

College diploma or technical certificate in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.

LOCATION:
