FULL-STACK PLATFORM ENGINEER:

Join our graphics engineering team as a key contributor to build and maintain the platform that powers AMD's graphics development workflow, directly enabling our ability to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading graphics technologies to market.

You will be self-driven with an ownership mentality and problem-solving mindset, with a keen eye for quality and reliability, and is passionate about building the infrastructure that enables next-generation gaming.

You will need to employ strong knowledge in Python and full-stack development, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and software engineering expertise as well as a strong ability to deliver effectively in a fast-paced environment while working with graphics engineers and stakeholders across multiple teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and develop full-stack platform features including backend APIs (Flask/Python), database schemas (PostgreSQL), and web interfaces (React/TypeScript/Next.js).

• Lead job orchestration and scheduling across distributed compute agents, ensuring reliable execution of graphics workloads at scale.

• Optimize system performance across the stack including database queries, API response times, and frontend rendering.

• Collaborate closely with graphics engineers and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions that enable their workflows.

INFRASTRUCTURE & OPERATIONS:

• Configure and manage compute infrastructure including containerization (Docker) and deployment strategies.

• Ensure platform uptime and reliability through monitoring, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Contribute to the design and implementation of future platform architecture.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Proficient in Python and building REST APIs (Flask or similar).

• Strong knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar).

• Experience with modern web technologies (Node.js, React, and TypeScript).

• Experience with asynchronous programming and handling concurrent requests.

• Experience with Docker and container orchestration.

• Comfortable working in both Windows and Linux environments.

• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.

• Knowledge of computer networking and protocols.

• Experience with automated testing and test-driven development.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

NICE TO HAVE:

• Experience with automated testing frameworks (pytest or similar).

• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

• Storage system management and optimization experience.

• Experience working with distributed systems.

• UX design skills and user-centered design principles.

• Site reliability engineering (SRE) practices and methodologies.

ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline
