This Field Application Engineer position is to support AMD’s Japan local OEM customers
THE PERSON:

Excellent customer skills with a proven ability to work with demanding customers.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Japanese.
-
Ability to take ownership of issues and ensure they are resolved in a timely manner.

Provide technical training to customers as required.
-
Proactive, self-direction and highly disciplined.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-
This FAE position is to support AMD’s Japan local OEM customers (i.e. Dynabook).
-
Collaborate with the AMD Sales team and multinational internal Engineering & BU teams to seek design-in opportunities and provide the technical support to ensure sell-through targets.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
-
10+ years of Computer/Server technical field support or MNC R&D experience is a MUST.
-
Familiar with basic performance test tool and method.
-
Familiar with x86 architecture and Basic structure of Computer/Server.
-
Familiar with application performance tuning.
-
Familiar with Linux operation system (CentOS, RHEL, SUSE and so on).
-
Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Japanese.
-
Actively and enthusiastically learn new technologies.
-
Strong customer facing and handling ability.
-
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
-
Strong presentation skills in English and Japanese.
-
Strong documents writing and technical training ability.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering required.
LOCATION: Tokyo, Japan
