The Rest of the World (RoW) organization’s charter is to rapidly expand Amazon Stores presence globally, partnering closely with category management, business, technology, and product teams across Amazon, to deliver the world’s largest selection to customers around the globe. Within RoW, the Global Purchasing Program's vision is to leverage our global footprint to offer more selection to worldwide customers.
We are seeking a Program Manager to drive strategic Programs in worldwide inventory transfer (WWIT), cross-border selection, and global inventory management for emerging countries. In this role, you will:
- Own End-to-End Business Processes: Lead the transfer of inventory from established marketplaces to new and emerging countries. Develop and implement scalable 1:many inventory management strategies to optimize the vendor and customer experience, improve automation, and drive operational efficiency.
- Expand Global Selection: Drive cross-border selection initiatives, working across business, technology, and operations teams to build scalable frameworks that enable a world-class selection offering for international customers.
- Innovate for International Growth: Manage and drive customer-centric solutions by leveraging technological innovations and collaborating closely with teams worldwide to create seamless shopping experiences.
- Lead Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with stakeholders across Amazon, demonstrating excellent business judgment and strong leadership presence to represent Amazon WWIT at all levels.

Key job responsibilities - Program Management and Strategy
- Manage and oversee cross-functional programs, ensuring timely and successful delivery of objectives.
- Develop and refine program strategies, setting clear goals and leveraging data analytics to drive improvements and meet metrics.
- Evaluate and prioritize projects based on customer needs, technical inputs, and business impact.
- Navigate ambiguities in complex scenarios, applying creative problem-solving to achieve desired outcomes.
- Identify and mitigate risks to prevent escalation into major issues.
- Stakeholder Collaboration and Leadership
- Build and nurture relationships with senior leaders of partner vendors, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Foster collaboration with internal and external partners to optimize resource allocation and program success.
- Regularly communicate with senior managers, business leaders, and stakeholders, providing updates and supporting strategic initiatives.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Worldwide inventory transfer programs, helping teams develop scalable solutions for incremental selection and improved customer experience.
- Vendor Relations and Process Optimization
- Design and execute scalable methodologies to engage vendors and improve their import processes.
- Advocate for supplier experience improvements through innovative, scalable solutions.
- Educate vendors on new country opportunities, ensuring alignment with Amazon’s supply chain and compliance requirements.
- Drive integration between vendors and Amazon’s supply chain, compliance, and merchandising processes to enable smooth operations.
- Develop and improve vendor relations and sourcing strategies to optimize costs and expand product selection.
- Data-Driven Insights and Reporting
- Query and analyze large datasets to generate actionable business insights and drive decision-making.
- Develop, implement, and oversee KPI reporting to provide clear visibility into milestones, performance, and program impact.
- Manage and communicate project milestones effectively, ensuring alignment with program goals and constraints.
- Driving Innovation and Scalability
- Test new program launches and design solutions capable of scaling across diverse business models and regulatory regimes.
- Bridge gaps in team dynamics, processes, and systems, preventing common pitfalls and enabling program scalability.
- Assist internal teams in driving change, removing roadblocks, and closing business opportunities.

The Global Purchasing Program team is responsible for driving selection expansion to all Amazon Stores. As a leader in this organization, you will shape the future of global ecommerce by building scalable systems and high-performing teams that deliver exceptional results. You will work closely with leadership to define strategy while empowering your team to execute with speed and precision. Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLook Ups) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
