The Amazon Robotics Global Edge Compute team owns initiatives at the forefront of Amazon's robotics and automation efforts. Our services manage millions of robotics devices across thousands of locations worldwide, from the latest NVIDIA GPU offerings supporting AI perception efforts, to bleeding edge manipulation robotics systems. Our technologies enable Amazon to revolutionize its logistics and fulfillment operations by pushing the boundaries of what's possible in automation.

As part of our dynamic and forward-thinking team, you'll have the opportunity to work on mission-critical projects that drive Amazon's robotics strategy. We foster a culture that encourages personal and professional growth, empowering our team members to continually expand their skills and knowledge. Work-life balance is a priority for us, and we strive to create an environment where our team can thrive both professionally and personally.

Key job responsibilities

  • Drive the planning, execution, and delivery of Infrastructure Automation across multiple engineering teams.
  • Manage project schedules, risks, dependencies, and resource allocations to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Facilitate effective communication and alignment across teams, stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Implement agile methodologies, processes, and tools to streamline project execution and promote continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
  • Drive continuous improvement to enhance efficient execution, adapting and creating processes to incorporate AI augmented development, program tracking and reporting.
  • Assess technical problems faced by customers to influence feature prioritization and development, ensuring they remain unblocked in their ability to onboard and fully utilize GEC products.

A day in the life
Your day begins by connecting with customers who are leveraging GEC products across Amazon's global fulfillment network. You'll provide technical guidance, diving deep into their goals and issues to chart the best path forward for resolution. Whether it's a team preparing to deploy a new robotics system or troubleshooting an edge case in their testing environment, you're their trusted advisor.
Throughout the day, you'll work closely with builder teams, providing hands-on guidance to ensure everyone stays aligned and executes efficiently. You're constantly monitoring progress toward feature deliveries and program milestones, using the tools and processes you've designed and implemented to maintain visibility across all workstreams. When unknowns surface or priorities shift—as they inevitably do in a fast-paced environment—you're quick to course-correct, keeping both the team and leadership informed and seeking interventions when necessary.
A significant portion of your time is dedicated to deep research into your customer base. You'll evaluate their needs and goals, ensuring that GEC product plans align with what customers actually need, delivered on their timelines. This customer-obsessed approach drives your roadmap selections and feature prioritization.
You're always thinking several steps ahead, proactively hunting for risks and gaps in planning before they can impact program objectives. By identifying and addressing potential issues early, you keep programs on track and maintain the high bar of execution that Amazon Robotics demands.
