The Amazon Pay Marketing team is looking for a seasoned insights & marketing professional with big ideas, a passion for solving unique problems, and strong consultative and strategic mindset - to help us build and drive a world class insights to marketing actions for the business. This role will develop and own the insights programs from strategy development, through influencing stakeholders, to acting on insights and also execute marketing actions in key programs. This role requires a diverse research skill-set with strong analytical know-how, sharp business acumen, the ability to build consensus quickly and bias for action. The successful candidate will be comfortable with ambiguity, have strong attention to detail, and be motivated by a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.

  • Key job responsibilities
  • Being a thought leader and trusted partner on customer insights
  • Applying sound research and business acumen to help the business solve complex research questions
  • Taking disparate data and connecting the dots to craft meaningful narratives that build impactful marketing campaigns
  • Diving deep into data to understand not only the ‘what’, but the ‘so what’ and ‘now what’
  • Defining, building, and championing scalable and agile market research solutions, tools, and processes
  • Creating mechanisms to share insights and influencing product, category and marketing stakeholders to act on insights
  • Leveraging internal and external resources to execute innovative research techniques
    A day in the life
    Listen to customers thru heartbeat , percept and other channels --> track insights project roll-outs --> execution planning for marketing GTMs --> review data and performance on programs --> create brief for internal/external partners to scale up business.

Basic Qualifications

  • MBA
  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
  • 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
  • Experience communicating results to stakeholders
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of market research analyst, product manager, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in areas such as market research, statistics, finance or qualitative/quantitative research
  • Experience with various types of research methodologies is key, including quant, qual, 1P & 3P data, trend analysis & forecasting, etc.
  • Experience using customer insights and data to deeply understand target customers and dive deep
  • Experience in written and oral communication, including the ability to communicate with all levels in the organization (technical, business, executive)
  • Experience in oral and written communication
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel and Word)
  • Experience statistical modeling, or related analytic techniques
  • Experience with financial services, payments or e-commerce
  • Master's degree or above in management, business administration, economics, engineering, marketing
