Amazon’s Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) mission is to provide the tools, resources, and environments that support safe, efficient, and healthy behaviors and encourage employees to proactively manage their health and well-being. To support this, Amazon is seeking an experienced and innovative people leader to serve as our Senior Manager, Program Delivery & Analytics for WW WHS. In this role, you will lead a team of program managers to build programs, tools, and mechanisms that create a safe workplace and build a world-class safety culture for Amazon.
This role will focus on leading large, strategic projects that span multiple Amazon Business Units (BUs) and geographies, including network-wide projects that benefit many types of operations. You will dive deep into Operations and WHS processes and systems; identify risks through data and first-hand experience; build programs and improve processes to eliminate risks; and interface with senior leadership within the company providing swift metric-based support.
This Senior Manager will report to the Director of WHS Central Programs and work collaboratively across all Amazon BUs and geographies to provide innovative solutions across our business. This position requires travel up to 25%, when needed.
Key job responsibilities

Program Management & Delivery

Lead a team of program managers to deliver large-scale, cross-functional safety programs that improve the safety of Amazon Associates across multiple business units and geographies

Develop and implement early warning systems and mechanisms to identify at-risk projects and drive corrective actions

Establish program management standards, processes, and best practices to improve delivery success rates across the WHS Central Programs organization

Data-Driven Analysis & Prioritization

Lead reviews of safety incident data to identify key incident drivers and quantify their contribution to overall incident rates

Complete analytical reviews of peer companies using public records to create global benchmark analysis and identify improvement opportunities

Entitlement & Goal Setting
-
Own the tool, process, and methodology to determine safety entitlement for all planned projects, delivering continuous improvements to accuracy and efficiency

Coordinate annual goal setting for WW WHS based on historic trends, incident driver analysis, and planned improvement projects

Track and report on project contributions to RIR and SIR reduction goals

Tools & Infrastructure

Deliver improvements to the project management tools and data infrastructure used by WHS to improve delivery success and efficiency

Design technology-enabled solutions for portfolio optimization

Cross-Functional Leadership & Stakeholder Management

Work cross-functionally with members from Operations, Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT), Amazon Robotics (AR), Inbound Supply Chain, Launch, Capacity Planning, Finance, and other teams to deploy solutions at scale

Build credibility with customers and stakeholders at various levels of the organization through data-driven insights and technical depth

Our team is dedicated to engineering risk out of Amazon's fulfillment centers through innovative program delivery. We work across multiple business units to identify safety improvement opportunities and implement solutions that protect our employees while maintaining operational excellence. The team's mission focuses on developing and delivering programs that drive measurable safety improvements across the network. Our collaborative approach brings together expertise from various disciplines to create comprehensive safety solutions that address both immediate concerns and long-term strategic goals.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 7+ years of team management experience
- 7+ years of program or project management experience
- 7+ years of cross functional project delivery experience
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
