AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS. Within AWS UC, Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) roles engage with AWS customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

We are looking for talented Engineers to join our Virtual Platforms team.
Virtual platforms play a crucial role in accelerating the development process by enabling early Software development, System-Level testing, and architectural exploration without the constraints of physical prototypes.

As a Virtual Platform Engineer, you will:

  • Develop accurate and efficient simulation models of hardware components
  • Create and maintain Virtual Platform environments for software development and system-level validation
  • Debug and optimize complex hardware-software interactions

This role requires strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset, as you'll frequently interact with various teams across AWS to deliver optimal solutions.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines. Please include a grade sheet/academic transcript along with your CV in a single PDF when submitting your application
  • Knowledge of SW and programming languages and concepts (OOP, OOD, data structures)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with software development using C/C++
  • Knowledge of computer architecture (CPUs, networking, protocols)
  • Experience in modeling language such as SystemC, Virtual Platforms tools (Vista, Virtualizer)
  • Verification experience is a big advantage (eRM, VMM, UVM)
