The Selling Partner Experience team in Hyderabad (SPEx Hyd) supports some of the key business and tech initiatives of the Selling Partner Services org. Our team works with product leaders on (a) improve new seller registration experience continuously and ensure the experience is smooth. (b) ensuring the accuracy of Fees charged to Selling Partners, (c) identifying and mitigating financial risk based on fee transactions, (d) supporting robust Seller qualification mechanisms, (e) lowering contacts at SPS and improving Selling Partner experience, (f) launching new product categories in different stores across the world for both 1P and 3P businesses. Our team in Hyderabad consists of program managers leading each of our strategic initiatives and a tech team that (a) supports org-wide automation requirements, and (b) works on tech projects that drive business critical projects related to Seller Registration and Listing Quality.
Key job responsibilities
You will be part of a team that is responsible for all aspects of the Selling Partner experience - from the visual interface to the back end services. Our systems need to meet remarkably high standards of quality, performance and reliability, operating around the clock on a massive scale. You are a talented, detail, oriented and enthusiastic SQA who is passionate about quality and is enthusiastic about the technology offered to consumers.
QAE test code at the user level, both manually and with automated tools. Our QAE are not pure black box testers; they are more grey box, able to understand software internals, debug problems using log files, and write automated tests with Perl/Java scripts and/or user-level automated tools. QAE work with Software Development Engineers to understand features and technical implementation. QAE should also work with groups such as Product Management, User Interaction, and Customer Support to understand customer usage models and develop test plans and suites that approximate real-world environments and regression tests and driving the software development process towards quality-centric methodologies.
About the team
The SPEx Tech team is consists of engineers, analysts and quality ninjas, with an aim to develop scalable solutions to marquee listing projects like improving the efficiency of category launches, driving the launch of 3P on UMP, and supporting the wider SPEx team with the automation of manual processes. We are looking to grow our team to include additional support engineers, quality assurance engineers and developers who will roll up their sleeves and drive our projects. If you’re looking to work on ambiguous and large scale problem statements and have a passion for learning about new and/or interrelated Amazon tools and their impact on our Customers and Selling Partners, this is the right team for you.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
  • Experience in automation testing
  • Experience in manual testing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing and planning test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and control
