Amazon is seeking a dynamic and ambitious Business & Region Development Manager to join its China team based in Shenzhen. This role combines strategic business development with hands-on seller recruitment and management to drive new business growth and maximize revenue generation across Amazon's suite of products for merchants.
In this position, you will be responsible for recruiting and launching sellers on Amazon's global marketplace while simultaneously driving adoption of Amazon's paid offerings. You will work with sellers of all sizes—from SMEs to large sellers—to help them succeed on Amazon's global marketplaces.

This role requires strong accountability for both business goal achievement and data-driven insights generation. You will be expected to deliver on revenue targets while simultaneously conducting deep-dive analyses to inform strategic decisions and optimize business performance.

Your superior communication, organizational, and technical skills will enable you to operate in a fast-moving and sometimes ambiguous environment, where you will have the autonomy to take full control and responsibility for achieving our business objectives. This role provides ample opportunity to develop original ideas, approaches, and solutions in a competitive and dynamic environment.
Key job responsibilities

Business Development & Product Adoption:

  1. Drive Paid Account Service product adoption including Account Management Service and Consulting Service
  2. Develop, optimize, and customize sales toolkits to support service product offerings
  3. Assist in sales planning, forecasting, and tracking for paid products
  4. Provide insights to leadership and product managers to evolve service product offerings based on seller feedback and market trends

Region Development & Seller Recruitment:

  1. Develop category recruitment strategies by analyzing the competitive landscape and defining new products' value proposition
  2. Identify, recruit, and support sellers of various types (SMEs to large retailers) to execute on growth plans
  3. Analyze traffic and sales data to identify opportunities and help sellers succeed on the marketplace

Seller Success & Account Management:

  1. Review and monitor performance and sales of Amazon's partners to provide consulting advice for business growth
  2. Work closely with Account Managers to ensure smooth end-to-end customer experience
  3. Learn about Amazon's cross-border e-commerce business, understand seller lifecycle, demands, and pain points

Data Analytics & Business Intelligence:

  1. Conduct advanced data analysis using SQL, Python, or similar tools to extract actionable insights from large datasets
  2. Build and maintain dashboards and reporting mechanisms to track key business metrics, seller performance, and product adoption rates
  3. Perform root cause analysis on business trends, identifying drivers of success and areas for improvement
  4. Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  1. Feed back to other teams within Amazon worldwide lessons learned during project implementation and post-live support phases
  2. Partner cross-functionally to professionally represent clients' needs and perspectives to various stakeholders
  3. Support marketing initiatives, tactics, plans, processes, systems, and programs

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 3+ years of sales or marketing work (like e-commerce, retail technology, SaaS) or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of inside sales experience
  • Knowledge of procurement and source to pay methods at small and medium businesses
  • Experience influencing at all levels within an organization, particularly at the executive level
  • Experience exceeding sales targets using a consultative, solutions-focused approach or equivalent
