AWS is currently hiring highly technical a Senior Pro Serve Cloud Architect that works hand-in-hand with customers to deeply understand their needs and design innovative, tailored cloud solutions. This role operates as the conduit between Pro Serve Account Executives and Shared Delivery Teams, ensuring proposed solutions are realistic, achievable, and optimized to maximize customer business outcomes.

This is a customer facing role. You will be required to travel to client locations and deliver professional services when needed.

Key job responsibilities
Solution Design: Creating and leading complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions to deliver customer business outcomes (CBOs)

Technical Guidance: Providing technical expertise and best practices during pre-sales and implementation phases

Customer Advisory: Acting as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions to address their challenges

Collaboration: Working closely with Account Managers and Shared Delivery Teams to ensure proposed solutions are realistic and achievable

Knowledge Sharing: Mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts within the organization to drive process improvements

Business Translation: Translating technical concepts into business value for both technical and non-technical audiences

About the team
The Professional Services team at AWS is responsible for assisting enterprise customers as they shift to the cloud by incorporating our services into their overall architecture. We work hand-in-hand with customer teams and AWS partners to provide deep expertise in the architecture, design, development, and implementation of cloud computing initiatives that result in real business outcomes. As part of our team, you’ll accelerate the adoption of our products all while advocating for the success of our customers.

Basic Qualifications

• 7+ years of technical specialist, design and architecture experience
• 7+ years of consulting, design and implementation of serverless distributed solutions experience
• 3+ years of cloud based solution (AWS or equivalent), system, network and operating system experience
• 7+ years of cloud and on-premise integration experience
• Bachelor's degree, or 7+ years of professional or military experience

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Professional level certification, or degree in advanced technology
• Knowledge of security and compliance standards including HIPAA and GDPR
• Experience architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider like Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc.
• Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in telecommunications industry, including understanding of telco-specific workloads, OSS/BSS systems, network functions virtualization (NFV), and 5G architecture
• Strong communication skills with executive presence and presentation capabilities
• Experience in consulting business and working at the CxO level
