Amazon seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Alexa International Finance team and drive financial excellence across one of Amazon's most innovative and fastest-growing businesses globally.
You'll build the financial foundation for Alexa's international expansion by creating country-level financial statements, conducting variance analysis, and automating processes to scale our operations efficiently. This role combines strategic financial planning with hands-on execution, directly impacting how we grow Alexa's presence worldwide.
Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you'll deliver country-level financial reporting and variance analysis comparing actuals to forecasts while building and maintaining financial statements for international markets. In addition, you will also lead AWS cost budgeting for the Alexa International organization and conduct monthly AWS cost reviews with business partners.
As a strategic partner, you'll work with finance leads to develop financial models for advertising and subscription programs that inform critical business decisions. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams across Amazon, working alongside business and finance leaders to align on priorities and support Alexa's global growth strategy.
You'll also perform deep-dive analyses to answer critical business questions and support new market launches and business initiatives with financial insights as needed.

The Alexa International Finance team operates at the intersection of innovation and scale. We support Alexa's expansion into new markets while maintaining financial rigor and control. You'll work with talented finance professionals, product teams, and business leaders who are passionate about bringing Alexa to customers worldwide.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, or CPA
- Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
