招聘
In this role, you'll serve as the financial co-owner of Amazon's Private Brands North America Softlines business — a rapidly scaling retail portfolio spanning Amazon Essentials and emerging collaboration brands across apparel, footwear, and accessories. This role offers a rare combination of strategic finance leadership and direct influence over the economic model of a vertically integrated retail business.
Partnering directly with the Softlines General Manager, you will shape core operating decisions including pricing guardrails, new product investment strategy, inventory and working capital management, and long-term profitability trajectory. You will architect financial mechanisms that govern how the business scales, balancing topline growth, contribution profit, and capital efficiency, while influencing senior leadership decisions through data-driven insights and strategic recommendations.
This role offers exceptional scope, ownership, and visibility, and is ideal for a finance leader seeking to operate as a business co-owner and drive step-change improvements in profitability and scale.
- Key job responsibilities
- Architect and govern the economic model of the business, including defining pricing guardrails, evaluating elasticity and contribution profit tradeoffs, and influencing pricing architecture decisions to ensure sustainable profitability while maintaining competitiveness
- Own financial framework to determine new product investments, including evaluating launch economics, influencing buy quantities and ramp expectations, and allocating capital toward the highest-return opportunities
- Lead long term business planning, ensuring alignment between financial goals and operating strategy
- Own inventory economics and working capital strategy, influencing buy depth, weeks-of-cover targets, markdown and liquidation decisions, and inventory turns to optimize profitability and capital efficiency
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Pricing, Supply Chain, and Sourcing teams to influence strategic decisions, improve cost structure, and enable scalable growth
- Build and scale financial mechanisms, reporting infrastructure, and automated analytics that improve decision velocity and business visibility
A day in the life
You will operate at the center of business decision-making, partnering with Product, Pricing, Supply Chain, and Sourcing leaders to shape how the business grows and scales profitably. You will evaluate pricing strategies and elasticity tradeoffs, guide which new products to build based on expected returns, and influence inventory investment decisions that balance availability with capital efficiency. You will also help build scalable financial infrastructure and drive adoption of AI-driven analytics to improve financial visibility and efficiency, explain performance to senior leadership, and provide data-driven insights that shape strategic direction.
