As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in transforming our accounting operations through process improvement and AI integration. This role sits at the intersection of traditional accounting excellence and emerging technology, driving efficiency and accuracy across our financial operations.

• Key job responsibilities
• Perform tasks as part of the month-end financial accounting close within deadlines with focus on Operating Expenses, Capital Expenditures, Accounts Payable, Freight-In, and Intercompany
• Research, evaluate, and deploy AI and machine learning solutions to transform and automate processes across the team (Invent and Simplify)
• Partner on accounting automation projects to increase scalability and improve controllership
• Ensure compliance with appropriate GAAP and internal controls over financial reporting
• Work with accounting, finance, and business teams to support new business initiatives and geographic expansion
• Partner with Ring and Amazon tax teams to ensure accounting records meet tax compliance requirements for international geographies
• Dive Deep into complex accounting issues, investigating root causes and implementing sustainable solutions that prevent recurrence

About the team
At Ring and Blink accounting we are responsible for managing the end to end financial and reporting processes for the home security businesses. Our goal is to close our books in accordance with U.S. GAAP & internal accounting policy. We support a diverse set of business stakeholders including sales, supply chain and engineering. We work closely with our accounting, legal, FP&A, tax and enterprise technology counterparts to accelerate business strategy and support global accounting.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
• Knowledge of GAAP research tools and the FASB codification
• Knowledge of internal control framework (specifically COSO) to assess control design and operational efficiency

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
• MBA, or CPA
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
