Our mission is to build a suite of products and experiences that millions of customers love to use every day in Japan. We are seeking an experienced Sr. Product Manager who will be responsible for leading our Payment Acceptance and Experience strategy, working both independently as well as through our Product and Tech teams.
In this role, you will own the end-to-end lifecycle of existing payment methods while identifying and launching new payment solutions to serve millions of Japanese customers. You'll have the opportunity to shape the future of how customers pay on Amazon, working at the intersection of customer experience, technology, and business strategy to drive growth and innovation in one of Amazon's largest international markets.
The ideal candidate is analytical, loves working backwards from data and customer insights in order to build the right technology and features, and resourceful in finding innovative solutions to unsolved problems. As a product leader you will have a proven track record of creating a strong vision, managing a dynamic roadmap, communicating priorities clearly with a broad set of stakeholders and successfully delivering results.
- Key job responsibilities
- Create and own the product vision, strategy and multi-year roadmap for payment products that serve millions of customers
- Drive data-driven decision making through analysis of customer behavior, market trends, and business metrics
- Drive alignment across multiple stakeholders (Tech, Marketing, UX, Finance, Legal) to deliver results at scale
- Identify and evaluate new payment opportunities, leading initiatives from conception through launch
- Partner with engineering teams to deliver scalable, reliable payment solutions
- Present to senior leadership and influence product strategy at the highest levels
- Mentor a team of product and program managers while fostering a culture of innovation

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 6+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Experience defining roadmap strategy and prioritizing deliverables for your team products
- Business English skills, both verbal and written
- 6+ years of blending product and program management skills to execute strategic initiatives about process creation, standardization, and improvement experience
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience as a product manager or owner
Preferred Qualifications
- Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese at a business level or above (N1+)
