Ring is looking for an AI thought leader to join our team as a Demand Planning Manager for our portfolio of devices. This position will support the continued growth of Ring through AI-based innovation while improving our planning processes as we advance our mission to help make neighborhoods safer.
Key job responsibilities
-Manage our end-to-end demand planning processes for our core devices with the assistance of AI-based tools/technology.
-Drive the forecasting of new product launches and maintain a proper phase-in/phase-out process.
-Serve as a subject matter expert for overall demand planning, pricing, promotional planning, in-stock/retailer demand and a conduit for supply planning processes.
-Own and communicate the global demand plan, along with changes/exceptions therein, to stakeholders.
-Work to continuously improve key demand planning performance indicators such as (W)MAPE
-Support in the implementation/management of S&OP process via reporting, ad hoc analytics and facilitation of monthly meetings.
A day in the life
You will serve as the demand planning POC for your assigned device programs. With the assistance of AI-based tools/technology, you will own, shape and refine demand plans based on insights from key product, category, sales and retail teams. Along with day-to-day operations, you will be heavily involved in long-range planning objectives, the drafting of documentation needed to substantiate monthly purchasing decisions to leadership, the management of new product introductions and a critical liaison/leader in the S&OP process.
About the team
The mission of our planning organization is to deliver accurate forecasts, inventory targets and allocation plans to ensure customers are able to purchase the product they want, when and where they want it. You will own and manage the worldwide planning for specific programs within Ring devices. This position requires the ability to think critically, manage without authority, lead with an AI innovation first mindset and leverage a broad cross-functional organization of business teams. This role is highly visible throughout the organization and will lead the management/generation of large-scale demand plans that are presented to senior leaders and C-level executives.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, economics, finance, engineering, or computer science
- 5+ years of supply chain, inventory management or project management experience
- 3+ years of demand planning and forecasting experience
- 5+ years of data analysis using tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing and executing large projects from start to finish, including project management, data gathering and modeling, problem solving, and communicating recommendations
- Experience visualizing data in Tableau or other relevant data visualization software
- Extensive knowledge in implementing Artificial Intelligence based technology within the supply chain planning space
- Strong end-to-end supply chain knowledge and business acumen
- Experience establishing and leading a mature S&OP process

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
