This is a leadership role within the Event Content & Tools organization, responsible for shaping and executing platform operations excellence across our entire event portfolio. As a key member of the leadership team, you will influence the direction of AWS's event content strategy, platform operations, drive organizational transformation, and play a crucial role in evolving how AWS delivers compelling content through our events. You will drive operational excellence across marketing technology platforms, lead cross-functional teams, and enable global marketing initiatives that directly impact customer experience and business growth. The role focuses on program management with expertise in event management technology and onsite technology operations.
Key job responsibilities
· Drive customer-obsessed platform operations by ensuring marketing technology solutions deliver exceptional experiences that meet evolving customer needs and expectations, particularly for global marketing events and campaigns
· Own end-to-end platform operations strategy, taking full accountability for platform performance, reliability, and scalability across global marketing initiatives.
· Innovate and simplify complex operational processes by identifying automation opportunities, streamlining event management workflows, and implementing cutting-edge solutions that enhance team productivity
· Lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering, product, data science, and regional marketing teams to deliver integrated solutions that support global marketing campaigns and event operations
· Develop and mentor a high-performing team of platform operations professionals, fostering a culture of technical excellence, customer obsession, and continuous learning in marketing technology
· Drive global enablement initiatives by creating scalable processes, training programs, and best practices for event management technology that can be adopted across international markets
· Manage technical project portfolios, partnering with Event Technology and Engineering ensuring on-time delivery of critical platform enhancements, event technology rollouts, and new capability implementations
· Oversee event onsite technology operations, ensuring seamless execution of marketing events and optimal attendee experiences through reliable technology infrastructure
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Marketing, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience in platform operations, technical program management, or related field with focus on marketing technology
- Experience with management and people development, including building and leading technical teams in fast-paced environments
- Experience in global enablement and marketing technology operations, preferably with event management platforms
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
- Experience in event management technology, marketing automation platforms, or digital marketing operations
- Proven track record of scaling platform operations in high-growth, global environments with focus on marketing technology
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or cloud technologies, particularly in marketing and event management contexts
- Background in marketing automation, campaign management platforms, customer data platforms, or event technology solutions
- Experience with agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and modern software development lifecycle management
- Knowledge of event onsite technology operations, including registration systems, mobile apps, networking infrastructure, and attendee engagement platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders across global teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision making approach

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
