The Rest of the World (RoW) organization’s charter is to rapidly expand Amazon Stores presence globally, partnering closely with category management, business, technology, and product teams across Amazon, to deliver the world’s largest selection to customers around the globe. Within RoW, the Global Purchasing Program's vision is to leverage our global footprint to offer more selection to worldwide customers.
We are looking for an experienced Vendor Manager to grow our new business, owning strategy for growth, vendor engagement, and end to end P&L ownership. As a successful candidate, you have a strong bias toward data driven decision making, an innate ability to understand how metrics relate to business problems, and thorough building requirements. You will have experience managing complex business and technical challenges, have the ability to influence stakeholders to drive initiatives forward. You should be comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity and relish the idea of solving challenging problems. You will tackle novel, challenging situations every day and with Amazon around the world.
- Key job responsibilities
- Ownership of business metrics and actions to drive vendor experience, engagement, and profitability
- Regular engagement with senior business leadership to discuss business results and growth opportunities (director/VP level)
- Advocacy for the customer/user of the product features under your management
- Investigate issues from different sources, deep dive, root cause analysis, identify systemic gaps and ensure these gaps are addressed.
- To build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, product managers, marketing and vendor management teams.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, product, and technical goals
- Make prioritization and trade-off decisions balancing the user experience, business objectives, and costs.
- Operate autonomously; drive programs business goals and all customer and seller-facing aspects.
- SQL proficiency preferred.

As a leader in this organization, you will shape the future of global ecommerce by building scalable systems and high-performing teams that deliver exceptional results. You will work closely with leadership to define strategy while empowering your team to execute with speed and precision. Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of with Excel experience
- 3+ years of retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with negotiations and delivering results experience
- Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of professional or military experience
- Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing large data sets and utilizing to drive performance and process improvements
- Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development
