Amazon’s vendor recruitment team, is looking for a talented Vendor Manager within the Amazon Fashion & Sports business. Our vision is to drive scaled growth for our Retail business in Europe (EU), through cultivating vendor partnerships and onboarding the brands most desired by EU customers. In this role you will be responsible for onboarding and scaling, the most customer relevant brands across the EU for the first 12-18 months on Amazon Retail. This dynamic role requires you to develop and execute strategic plans that expand product selection, drive operational excellence, and improve vendor terms, all while enhancing the overall customer experience.
Within this role, the individual will have the opportunity establish and maintain strong vendor partnerships, identify means to improve customer experience, growth and profitability. We are seeking a seasoned business leader with a broad skill set which demonstrates strong analytical skills, excellent business judgment, strong vendor management and negotiations skills, and a passion for creating a world class shopping experience for our customers. You will work with vendors of all sizes and must have the leadership presence and communication skills to represent Amazon at all levels of these organizations.

We are open for this role to be based in France, Italy or Spain.

  • Key job responsibilities
  • Your objectives will be to help build the best possible selection for our customers with the development of partnerships with new vendors. Your job will consist of prospecting, assessing, reaching out to and launching new vendors on Amazon. In your day-to-day job, you will be faced with numerous challenges such as: Identify, prospect and reach out to new vendors, analyze their potential for Amazon. You will lead first steps, by cold-calling potential partners or attending commercial events and trade fairs and confidently explaining advantages and benefits of partnering with Amazon
  • Be a business consultant to new vendors: you will help with the entire recruitment cycle of new vendors from your pipeline, able to work autonomously. Help new vendors to integrate their catalogue data into Amazon platform, master Amazon’s internal tools, and train vendors on how to use these tools.
  • Grow the vendor’s full product selection and availability on Amazon to ensure ideal customer experience. Support in optimizing the online presence and content of each product on the vendor's portfolio. Plan, conduct, deliver and report analyses to understand the performance of new vendors
  • Manage a full P&L, including planning, forecasting, buying, marketing and promotions to achieve business objectives. Manage profitability – through proactive negotiation of costs, promotional opportunities, and other business inputs
  • Own projects and drive results on the projects working with cross functional stakeholders. Recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experience

Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree
    • Excellent written and oral presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional internal and external audiences
    • Ability to work with a wide range of people at all decision-making levels, including C-suite

Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in Retail business management or consulting, including negotiations
    • Demonstrated track record of success in meeting and exceeding business and/or financial KPI
    • Experience with large data sets and insight generation using Excel, SQL, or other data analysis tools
    • Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce to track sales cycle activities
    • Fluent French speaker preferred and Knowledge of additional EU languages is a plus
