Stakeholder coordination

Execute end-to-end operations and delivery of specific event workstreams or programs within the AWS event portfolio. This role requires strong program management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring high-quality delivery. You will be responsible for implementing event content strategies, collaborating across various teams and projects (e.g. operations, platforms, speaker programs, or specialized audience programs) and playing a key role in onsite execution during events.

Key job responsibilities

Program Management & Execution:

  • Support the end-to-end delivery of assigned event workstreams or programs with a focus on event content strategy (examples: content operations, platform management, expo areas, audience-specific programs)
  • Manage day-to-day program activities, including timeline development and stakeholder coordination
  • Create and maintain project documentation and status reporting
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for successful delivery
  • Own specific onsite (or dedicated online) responsibilities during live, hybrid, and virtual events

Event Planning & Delivery:

  • Implement standardized processes from the Global Events team

  • Coordinate event logistics within assigned workstream(s)

  • Ensure consistent delivery quality across program elements

  • Support budget tracking and reconciliation

  • Manage onsite teams and vendors during event execution

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues during events

  • Stakeholder Coordination

  • Act as primary liaison between stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams driving content strategy and execution and related workstreams

  • Manage regular communications and status updates

  • Coordinate with regional teams to ensure local relevance while maintaining global standards

  • Gather and incorporate stakeholder feedback

  • Support stakeholder needs during event day(s) execution

  • Operations & Measurement

  • Implement standard operating procedures and best practices

  • Support data collection and reporting for program metrics

  • Lead post-event analysis and documentation

  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives

  • Maintain program documentation and playbooks

  • Impact & Scope

  • Drive successful execution of key event workstreams with a focus on event content

  • Ensure high-quality delivery of program elements

  • Contribute to process improvements and best practices

  • Support delivery of AWS events

  • Build expertise in specific event disciplines

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in event and/or event content management or related field
  • Experience supporting live event execution including experience with event management tools and technologies
  • Experience using MS Word other process/program management tools to manipulate and analyze data

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs
  • Experience utilizing systems and tools involving email, web, analytics, and CRM (Marketo, Tableau, Salesforce, etc.) for targeting, segmentation, reporting for demand generation
  • Experience with live, virtual, and hybrid event formats for technology industry events (500+ attendees) including international event experience
  • Understanding of specific event disciplines (content, operations, platforms)
  • Knowledge of event registration and marketing automation platforms

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
