Job Description:

You will be responsible for procurement and inventory management of assigned categories within the Amazon Fresh business division. This is a department where you can contribute to maximizing cash flow by optimizing the balance between out-of-stock rates, excess inventory, and procurement methods.

Instock Managers are required not only to reform the series of internal systems and mechanisms from product information to ordering, but also to jointly reform operations from supplier delivery to fulfillment centers (FCs).

Within Amazon, this starts with product information and includes: the assortment system that determines what to buy, the demand forecasting system for each product, the system that determines target inventory and order quantities based on forecasts, and the series of systems that place orders with suppliers based on the calculated order quantities.

By improving and enhancing this system suite, we increase the automation and accuracy of ordering. While systems handle much of this process, manual demand forecast adjustments and ordering that cannot be handled by systems are also performed when necessary.

Beyond systems, it's necessary to reform and improve operations together with supplier vendors. Starting from suppliers' production and procurement plans, we identify where problems exist within the operations of inventory management, order receiving, packing, shipping, and delivery, and work together to reform them.
