Ring is seeking a visionary strategic operator to serve as Head of E-Commerce (L7) and the the Single-Threaded Owner (STO) of Ring.com globally. This leader will own the end-to-end P&L, define the long-term strategy for Ring’s direct-to-consumer channel, and drive sustained revenue growth through relentless customer obsession, experimentation, and operational excellence.

This role requires a leader who can Think Big while Diving Deep—setting a bold multi-year vision for Ring.com while simultaneously unlocking immediate, visible customer improvements. You will develop and lead a high-performing team and partner cross-functionally across Marketing, Product, Engineering, CRM, Analytics, and Operations to build a best-in-class digital commerce experience.

The ideal candidate combines strong commercial instincts, deep expertise in e-commerce platforms, systems thinking to understand how platforms and technologies interconnect, technical fluency to translate backend capabilities into customer experience improvements, advanced experimentation rigor, AI fluency, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders while moving fast and delivering results.

The mandate is clear: Establish Ring.com as a premier, best-in-class e-commerce platform for home and business security.

Key job responsibilities

Single-Threaded Ownership & P&L Leadership:

  • Own the global P&L for Ring.com, including revenue, conversion, AOV, attach, retention, and profitability.
  • Define and execute a strategic roadmap to establish Ring.com as a best-in-class DTC destination.
  • Set nimble, yet ambitious, goals aligned to business growth targets and customer experience metrics.
  • Build mechanisms to inspect, measure, and drive performance at weekly, monthly, and quarterly cadences.
  • Own the end-to-end customer journey from discovery through delivery and installation, ensuring seamless handoffs across fulfillment, logistics, and post-purchase teams to create a frictionless experience that extends beyond checkout.

Revenue Growth & Conversion Optimization:

  • Establish and scale a world-class experimentation engine with continuous A/B and multivariate testing across homepage, PDP, checkout, merchandising placements, and lifecycle flows.
  • Drive measurable improvements in conversion rate, AOV, cross-sell, attach, and subscription adoption.
  • Identify and rapidly execute “low-hanging fruit” improvements while architecting durable long-term optimizations.
  • Leverage AI and predictive analytics to dynamically personalize on-site experiences.

Merchandising & Personalization Strategy:

  • Own global merchandising strategy, including product surfacing, bundles, promotions, seasonal campaigns, and segmentation.
  • Define rules and AI-driven frameworks for what to feature, when, and to which customer cohorts.
  • Build personalization loops across paid media → CRM → onsite experience to create a data-driven customer journey.
  • Partner with Marketing and Lifecycle teams to ensure CRM (email and in-app) communications drive customers into highly personalized landing experiences.

Technical & Platform Leadership:

  • Serve as the business owner of the Ring.com ecosystem, with expert-level understanding of platform architecture and optimization levers.
  • Partner closely with Engineering on to upgrade tech stack, modernize infrastructure, and improve site speed, scalability, and reliability.
  • Translate business requirements into technical roadmaps and prioritize engineering investments based on ROI.
  • Evaluate and implement emerging e-commerce technologies, personalization engines, and AI tools.

AI & Advanced Analytics:

  • Champion and demonstrate the integration of AI across merchandising, testing, segmentation, forecasting, and personalization through forward-thinking strategies that deliver measurable impact—not just advocating for AI adoption, but actively using it to drive results.
  • Establish data science partnerships to unlock predictive insights and automation.
  • Partner with BI and utilize dashboards and reporting mechanisms that enable real-time performance management.

Organizational Leadership:

  • Develop and retain a high-performing e-commerce organization.
  • Set a clear North Star vision and align the team around measurable outcomes.
  • Raise the talent bar through strong coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Foster a high-velocity, high-accountability culture grounded in data, ownership, and collaboration.

Cross-Functional Influence:

  • Partner across Marketing, Product, Engineering, Finance, Customer Service, and Operations to align investments and priorities.
  • Influence senior leadership with clear narratives backed by data.
  • Operate effectively in highly ambiguous environments, creating structure and clarity where none exists.
  • Navigate ambiguity and rapidly evolving market dynamics by quickly course-correcting strategies, pivoting priorities based on emerging trends, and maintaining momentum across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced ecommerce landscape.
