We are looking for talented and passionate engineers to improve performance of our pages. As an architect on the Detail Page team, you will be building the next generation architecture in our quest to reduce website latency by 50%. You will work across a spectrum of software components (from CDNs, reverse proxies, web servers, data APIs, data stores and browsers) in leading performance improvements taking advantage of modern technologies. You will also improve scalability and efficiency by improving throughput of our services and rendering fleets. Your goal would to make our product pages to be the fastest in the world. You will change how millions of shoppers interact online, on all devices – from smartphones and desktops to watches and Echos.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
