Position: HW Commodity Specialist III (multiple positions available)
Location: North Reading, MA
Multiple Positions Available:
(1) Work cross-functionally with supply chain teams dedicated to the supply chain design, sourcing and logistics decisions, and supply chain execution of programs through the product development cycle.
(2) Act as single point of contact for program resources to communicate supply chain decisions and progress, provide feedback on supply chain implications of program decisions and changes, and support financial planning and capital approvals for the program.
(3) Collaborate with hardware engineering and operations, and commodity managers on supplier selection, costs, and new product introduction.
(4) Define and approve the supply chain strategy, including identification of critical supply components, cost roadmap to meet payback targets, definition of capacity plan and associated sourcing and tooling requirements, supply chain risk assessment, and mitigation plans.
(5) Work with sourcing in developing negotiation strategies for categories, which impacts the product to deliver against business objectives and achieve sustainable relationships with strategic suppliers pertaining to Amazon Robotics products supporting the priority programs as driven by the Operating Plan (OP).
(6) Work with GCMs on overall supplier relationships, including supplier performance, capability development, capacity planning, contracting, risk mitigation, and cost and quality improvements.
(7) Develop roadmaps to achieving NPI and GA total cost targets (TCO), including make vs. buy analyses and value engineering opportunities.
(8) Ensure non-cost goals (Sustainability, Supplier Development, Cost Savings) are met and supported by the supply chain strategy.
(40 hours / week, 8:00am-5:00pm, Salary Range $167,253/year to $200,100/year)

Basic Qualifications
A Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field and two years of experience in the job offered or in a related supply chain management occupation.
Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field and five years of progressively responsible postbaccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a related supply chain management occupation.
Employee must have two years of experience in each of the following:
(1) Demand planning, demand forecasting, or supply chain planning.
(2) Conducting statistical analysis and performing data mining, utilizing tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau and/or related business intelligence tools.
(3) Developing and driving strategic Initiatives within a cross-functional environment.
The pay range for this position in North Reading, MA is $167,253/year to $200,100/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
