Amazon is seeking a self-motivated individual for an exciting new Data Center Material Associate III. This is an entry level position and qualified candidates do not require deep knowledge of software operations or networking protocols.
Amazon IT handles customer data with the utmost importance, and selected candidates must be able to perform repetitive tasks without variance and adhere to strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) that ensures customer data is protected and properly handled.
This position will have several key functions including:

Work experience as a data analyst or in a related field.

Ability to work with stakeholders to assess potential risks.

Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations.

High-level written and verbal communication skills.
-
Help to maintain the order of the storage.

Managing inventory and storage, keeping files updated
-
Create excel queries to validate inventory files
-
Perform inventory audits to ensure data accuracy
-
Main point of contact with carriers to coordinate transportation of mail, equipment and any type of packages

Making sure employees receive shipments in a timely manner, as well as keeping track of returned equipment

Support Operations team planning All-Hands meetings, on-site and other team events

Responsible of creating and updating documentation and SOPs (Standard Operations Processes)

Create and follow up new projects
The ideal candidate will be a detail oriented, experienced planner with the demonstrated ability to respond effectively and efficiently while maintaining flexibility. The candidate will possess the ability to complete a high volume of tasks with minimal guidance or supervision. Key to the position is the ability to be organized, prioritized and on time while also serving as a "go to" for all members of this large team.

Key job responsibilities

You are able to identify solutions for inventory defects and/or parts-availability problems and engage with relevant teams to identify gaps and recommend fixes. You make sure fixes are implemented.

You are able to troubleshoot and resolve straightforward parts problems without SOPs. You escalate appropriately when work significantly deviates from documented practices or when barriers arise.

You execute small inventory-related projects that deliver value to your team and/or customers. You are able to define requirements and manage the execution. These projects may involve other locations or be part of a larger continuous improvement initiative.

You are able to partner effectively with internal teams and peers to meet objectives.

You have expertise in your team’s SOPs and workflows. You are able to create SOPs and training to help your team execute.

You coordinate retrospectives and own action plans. When there are problems, you assist with the creation of mitigation plans

You are able to create inventory reports based on operation requirements and, provide analysis about risks and/or findings. You escalate appropriately when work significantly deviates from documented practices or when barriers arise
Basic Qualifications
- 1+ years of shipping & receiving, inventory and warehousing practices experience
- 1+ years of logistics experience
- 1+ years of material forecasting experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge in machine learning and AI model development.
