Amazon Marketplace and Global Selling has been the engine of growth of Amazon for the past several years. We are looking for an intellectually curious, self-driven, innovative and highly motivated and ambitious leader to lead Global Selling product development for Marketplace in JP.
The Global Selling Sr. Product Manager is responsible for the end-end product vision, product development planning, and management of product roadmap for a combination of the programs that drive our Seller Business, closely working with Business teams in China, Korea, EU, US and India, tech teams in Japan as well as the global Fee, Selection and Seller Growth teams in the US.
This role is a highly strategic role with a big business impact that will require the leader in this role to innovate, drive adoption of our tools and ensure we make substantial contributions to the growth of our business.
The ideal candidate operates with total autonomy, thrives in ambiguous situations, and is able to earn trust and influence across a high level of seniority. The candidate possesses a highly strategic mindset, and excellent business judgment and also be able to collaborate with the technology teams to manage and define technology roadmaps and participate development through Agile. This role requires superior communication skills to effectively work with key stakeholders including category leaders, corporate multiple product and tech teams, marketing, legal, and account management teams.
- Key job responsibilities
- Envision the product direction with a focus on reducing the OOC to Japan Seller launch and Selection recruitment disparity compared to the United States
- Influence global technology roadmaps to prioritize Japan product request by collaborating with product teams and other technology stakeholders
- Drive automation and scalability, leveraging technological solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with the business team to ensure effective execution to drive the product adoption.
- Establish robust tracking and review mechanisms to monitor the progress of the product development/program management, identify areas of improvement, and ensure its manageability and controllability.
- Work with Finance partners to provide financial analysis and assessment, ensuring the sustainability of the product and program investment.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of existing seller recruitment products and funnel metrics, identify the pain points and bottlenecks that hinder OOC Seller launches in the JP market.
- Develop scalable solutions and products to address the identified pain points, aiming to accelerate OOC Seller launches in Japan.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience as a product manager or owner
- Experience owning technology products
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
- Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
