How often have you had an opportunity to be part of a team that is tasked with solving a huge business problem through disruptive, innovative technology? If you want to join a fast-paced, innovative team that is making history, reinventing an industry and breaking new ground for Amazon, this is the place for you!

Surface Transportation org is expanding and introducing new capabilities to our Fleet Management business that supports all Middle Mile assets (tractors, trailers, box trucks, hostlers). In this role you will deliver world class solutions while wearing many hats and working in a highly collaborative environment that is more startup than big company. This role will require strong leadership skills and interaction/influence with teams across Amazon to drive the development of our maintenance business.

The role involves day to day interaction with senior Amazon leaders as internal customers, understanding their needs and converting them into efficient business models. The role requires regular interactions with multiple teams and jointly working with them to meet both short term and long term business needs. This position is a multi-faceted role requiring the ability to balance strategy and execution.

Key job responsibilities
We're seeking an experienced product manager to lead the strategic development and implementation of business telematics solutions for our non-powered transportation assets, including trailers and intermodal containers. This role will build a "hands off the wheel" fleet operation through advanced sensor technology and data integration.

In this role, you will drive the development and optimization of our Smart Trailer fleet coverage, overseeing multiple sensor systems including tire pressure monitoring, ABS, cargo cameras, and door sensors. Working closely with internal tech teams, you'll develop scalable solutions while planning future in-house capabilities. Success requires strong relationship management across a broad range of stakeholders

Your focus will include improving maintenance efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing delivery accuracy through data-driven decisions. You will lead safety and security initiatives while ensuring seamless integration with yard management and fleet optimization systems.

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in transportation technology or fleet management, with a strong technical background in telematics or IoT systems. You should have a proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional programs, combined with experience in data analytics and system integration.

A day in the life
Your day will be a dynamic blend of strategic planning and collaborative problem-solving. You'll engage with cross-functional teams, analyze complex data sets, and design scalable solutions that reimagine fleet management. Expect to dive deep into sensor technologies, craft comprehensive product roadmaps, and translate technical insights into transformative business strategies.

About the team
We are a forward-thinking group dedicated to pushing the boundaries of transportation technology. Our team thrives on innovation, collaboration, and the challenge of solving complex logistical problems. We're committed to developing intelligent fleet management solutions that improve operational efficiency and safety across Amazon's transportation network.
