Our vision is to build a calendar assistant with full insight into the household schedule across personal and work commitments, that rapidly adapts to customers' dynamic daily schedules, anticipates scheduling and coordination needs, and proactively helps customers avoid schedule issues and optimize their time.
In this role, you will be the single threaded owner of our consumer Calendar experience on Alexa. Your ability to harness AI to deliver compelling customer experiences will be critical to success. To succeed, you'll need to rely on a combination of curiosity and expertise to shape your experiences. Your strategic thinking skills, creativity, and ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams will be key to success. - Key job responsibilities
- Craft the vision, roadmap, and requirements for Alexa Calendar, including maintaining and expanding our existing offering while leaning into innovation with AI. This includes partnering with international teams to localize the experience for each region.
- Translate customer requirements into technical specifications, make trade-offs to optimize time-to-market, and collaborate with developers/managers to prioritize roadmaps and make technical decisions
- Own strategic planning and resourcing across the Food charter
- Work backwards from customer needs, identifying key goals, features, and execution strategies (e.g., PR-FAQs, BRDs)
- Recognize and scope new customer opportunities, execute strategies for user research and customer feedback collection, using both quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate opportunities
- Define the architectural and platform vision for the product space alongside your engineering partner team
- Collaborate with Science teams to define exemplars, test cases, and quality KPIs to maintain the customer experience quality bar
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new features
- Communicate customer opportunities, business priorities, and performance metrics to executives
A day in the life
You will own the Alexa Calendar charter, defining the vision, strategy, product, and technical roadmap for a critical product area as Alexa evolves. You will interact daily with product managers, designers, developers, and engineering managers, based in the US, Canada, and India, leading them to create and deliver innovative and scalable products. You will be a passionate product person, committed to innovating on behalf of customers. This is a "Think Big" role where you will collaborate closely with colleagues from multiple product functions to craft new ways for customers to interact with Alexa and consume highly personalized content.

We build Alexa experiences that customers connect with on a daily basis, connecting to the essential services that become part of their daily routine. The ideal candidate for this role will possess a strong product background with a penchant for cross-team collaboration across business, technical, and design counterparts. They will have deep technical skills and a customer-centric mindset with a history of launching notable products.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience technical product management
- 8+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience in written and oral communication, including the ability to communicate with all levels in the organization (technical, business, executive)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
- Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, statistics
- Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
