Prime Air Quality is seeking an experienced Sr. Design Quality Assurance Engineer. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of leading Hardware/Software Quality and Design Assurance engineering initiatives for certifying highly complex products in the aerospace, aviation maintenance industries. The right candidate will also be a strong integrator who prioritizes well and communicates effectively.

Export Control License: This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures
• Experience in aviation regulatory compliance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 7+ years’ experience leading software quality assurance activities from inception of project to delivery to support DO-178C certification, and DO-330, DO-331, DO-332
• 7+ years' experience auditing design activities and perform process assurance activities to ensure lifecycle processes comply with approved plans and standards (ARP-4754)
• 5+ years' experience monitoring test execution
• 5+ years' experience performing conformity reviews
• 5+ years' experience participating FAA audits and change control boards
• Strong command of product development lifecycle processes
• Demonstrated Experience with PLM, JAMA, and other common tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
• Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
• Experience with the project management of technical projects
• 10+ years' experience with DQA activities in DO-178 Compliance and Auditing
• 5+ years' experience with DO-254 and DO-278 Compliance and Auditing
• Demonstrated Experience with (FAA) 14 CFR 21.137 requirements

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
