As part of this mission, the Learning Innovation & Quality Standards (LInQS) team serves as the quality and innovation center of excellence, establishing standards that enable business scalability through cost-effective frameworks and technology innovations.

  • We're seeking an Learning Experience Designer
  • Quality Standards & Governance Lead who will serve as the architect of learning excellence across AHS. This senior role combines deep instructional design expertise with technical learning platform knowledge to establish enterprise-wide quality frameworks, govern LMS architecture, and drive technology innovation initiatives.

As the Quality Standards & Governance Lead, you'll be the cornerstone of our learning infrastructure—establishing content conventions, development protocols, and excellence frameworks that enable our organization to scale learning capabilities without proportional increases in headcount.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives at the intersection of instructional design excellence, learning technology innovation, and organizational governance. You'll work at a strategic level, influencing how 7,100 AHS employees learn and grow while building the frameworks that enable subject matter experts and training teams across the organization to create quality content independently.

Key job responsibilities
Establish and maintain enterprise-wide content standards, development conventions, and quality frameworks that enable consistent, scalable learning experiences across all AHS business lines

· Design and implement quality audit frameworks with clear assessment criteria, conducting comprehensive audits across all L&D initiatives

· Design information architecture achieving 90% content findability scores, making learning resources easily discoverable across the organization

· Lead xAPI implementation strategy to capture detailed learning interaction data for evidence-based optimization and real-time learning effectiveness visibility

· Evaluate emerging learning technologies and AI-powered solutions, providing strategic recommendations and implementation roadmaps

· Design and implement learning path intelligence with dynamic personalization and real-time progress tracking

· Develop comprehensive toolkits including templates, guidelines, and AI-assisted development tools that enable learning and development to create consistent quality content

· Coach and mentor L&D team members, training teams, and SMEs on instructional design best practices and quality standards

· Build internal lessons, frameworks, and tools for organizational and enterprise utilization

· Partner with Technical Writing team on information architecture and documentation standards, and collaborate with LNSS on LMS visual standards and quality check standards

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • 7+ years of experience in instructional design with demonstrated expertise in learning technology platforms
  • Proven experience establishing quality standards and governance frameworks in large, complex organizations
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating both strategic learning design and technical platform expertise
  • Deep knowledge of LMS architecture, administration, and optimization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and evidence-based design
  • Experience with learning data standards (xAPI, SCORM) and learning analytics implementation
  • Proficiency with modern authoring tools (Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Suite) and content development technologies · Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Learning Sciences, Educational Technology, or related field
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive organizational change
  • Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Learning Sciences, Educational Technology, or related field
  • Proven ability to write PRFAQs and Amazon strategy docs to launch and implement innovation
  • Healthcare learning experience, particularly in regulated environments
  • Experience implementing xAPI or similar learning data standards at enterprise scale
  • AI/emerging technology evaluation and implementation experience in learning contexts
  • Experience with LMS architecture and API-based learning ecosystems
  • Lean Six Sigma or PMP certification
  • Experience with learning analytics platforms and data visualization tools
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG, Section 508) and compliance requirements
  • Experience mentoring and developing instructional design teams
  • Consulting background with ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
