Jobs
ooking for a career at a company that seeks to be Earth's most customer-centric company? If so, come join us at Amazon.
Ship Tech is the connective tissue that connects Transportation Service Providers, First Mile, Middle Mile, and Last Mile to facilitate the shipping of billions of packages each year. Due to the criticality of Ship Tech systems, worldwide (WW) Amazon business organizations work with Ship Tech every year to deliver programs for network expansion, operational efficiency improvement, new feature delivery to enhance customer and operator experience, compliance asks, and more.
WW requestors submit intakes to deliver: (1) onboarding new shippers, carriers, and services to the shipping network, (2) facilitating package movement and tracking in Amazon and third-party (3P) networks, (3) changes in carrier artifacts like labels and manifests, (4) carrier configurations such as routing codes and account IDs, (5) custom tech-builds for meeting business-specific asks delivered by Ship Tech every year, and (6) support for improving the quality of Amazon's worldwide shipment infrastructure by defining the usage, configuration, and standardization of transportation milestones.
We are looking for a Senior Program Manager to join our Ship Tech Analytics (STA) team. In this role, you will serve as the strategic owner of STA's engagement with key business funding partners (e.g., AMZL, ATS EU, S&A/TPH), driving alignment between business vision and engineering execution at scale. Our mission is to be a trusted partner and enabler to Amazon Operations — improving shipment tracking logic and capabilities, enabling automated shipment workflows, and delivering high-quality analytics solutions across all legs of logistics. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence product direction, shape organizational priorities, and drive measurable impact across Amazon's worldwide businesses.
Key job responsibilities
Own end-to-end strategic engagement with key business funding partners (e.g., AMZL, ATS EU, S&A/TPH), serving as the senior point of accountability for program delivery, escalation resolution, and executive communication across the full program lifecycle.
Lead and own Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with senior leadership and funding businesses; define the narrative, drive data-backed insights, and publish executive-level flash updates and funding utilization reports.
Drive OP1/OP2 planning strategy for business-funded headcount across STA; lead capacity planning discussions with senior stakeholders, align engineering investment to business priorities, and own the structured intake pipeline for continuous and ad hoc business requests.
Define and govern the program management framework for intake triage, prioritization, and delivery — establishing scalable processes that improve engineering efficiency and reduce time-to-delivery across the portfolio.
Translate complex, ambiguous business requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications; identify cross-program synergies and drive consolidation of overlapping asks to maximize engineering throughput.
Build and own delivery roadmaps working backwards from critical business milestones (e.g., Prime Day, Q4 Peak), coordinating across SDMs, SDEs, UX designers, and global business stakeholders across parallel workstreams.
Drive feature adoption strategy post-launch in partnership with business and operations teams; define success metrics, track adoption trends, and lead course-correction efforts when targets are at risk.
Mentor and guide Program Managers on the team; model best practices in stakeholder management, requirements definition, and structured program delivery.
Influence without authority across a global, matrixed organization; drive alignment among senior leaders from diverse teams to implement optimal solutions for the worldwide network.
A day in the life
The ideal candidate will be highly organized and have a demonstrated track record of successful project management/ownership, juggling multiple projects with competing deadlines, and using data to identify and prioritize opportunities. The candidate would be analytical, enthusiastic, self-motivated, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and have strong writing skills with the ability to handle ambiguity and influence at all levels of the organization.
About the team
We are a team of Program Managers who work across 20+ platform tech teams within Ship Tech, supporting transportation teams across regions. Our stakeholders span worldwide business organizations, and we contribute to several large-scale, high-visibility programs each year — including network expansion projects, carrier launches, new feature buildouts for enhanced customer experience, and operational efficiency improvements. We also support compliance programs across our worldwide stakeholders.
The Senior Program Manager in this role will specifically support the Perfect Mile Tech (PMTech) team — a platform that powers shipment visibility, business reviews, and analytics for Amazon's worldwide operations. PMTech serves a broad builder community across Amazon, enabling teams to onboard metrics, configure dashboards, and leverage AI-powered insights for operational decision-making. The PM will manage the intake pipeline for PMTech, working with global business customers and engineering teams to triage, prioritize, and drive delivery of builder support requests and business-funded programs at scale.
We are looking for a Senior Program Manager to work with global business customers and our engineering teams to manage business-funded programs, drive structured engagement, and deliver measurable impact at scale.
