Amazon's International Seller Services (ISS) org is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead an engineering team working on transformative products and tools to help 3P Sellers. We are developing innovative products that leverage generative and agentic AI to transform workflows for Sellers and AMs. Our aim is to help 3P Sellers in every aspect to help sellers improve selection, grow and expand their business worldwide.
Key job responsibilities
You will lead a team of software engineers, building internal tools and external solutions powered by cloud computing and generative AI for 3P Sellers. This role offers an opportunity to work at the forefront of agentic AI and distributed systems, building new products and services from the ground up and enhancing existing tools.
A day in the life
In a typical day, you will be working with a team of engineers working on a variety of products ranging from AI Assistant that accelerates the workflows and experiences for 3P sellers. You will be working with Products Managers and business teams worldwide to create and execute a roadmap of compelling user experiences. A closer partnership with other engineering teams and applied science team will be very critical. You will be extremely curious about learning and incorporating the latest developments in generative AI to develop products that deliver agentic AI solutions.
About the team
The team sits in Amazon's International Service Org that creates tools, products and agentic AI solutions for Account Managers worldwide. The products will include a mix of solutions that are common across Sellers in multiple countries and solutions customized for Sellers in each country.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of engineering team management experience
  • 7+ years of engineering experience
  • 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
  • Experience partnering with product or program management teams
  • Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
  • Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
