The VAP Retail Vendor Associate is a key member of Amazon's Vendor Services team, focused on accelerating growth for developing vendors who have moved beyond basic setup and are ready to scale their business. This role serves as a performance enabler and vendor incubator, working with a portfolio of selected brands to drive growth through marketing initiatives, vendor management, and inventory optimization. You'll serve as the primary vendor contact with an execution focus, requiring strong analytical skills and the ability to build relationships while contributing to strategic improvements. You'll help Amazon create the Earth's greatest shopping experience by nurturing vendor partnerships and enabling their growth within Amazon's ecosystem.

  • Key job responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of 8-10 selected brand partners, serving as their primary point of contact for growth initiatives
  • Support the execution of Joint Business Plans on selected brands, conducting annual planning sessions
  • Provide weekly automated performance reports with insights and growth recommendations
  • Drive vendor adoption of Amazon tools and best practices to accelerate business growth
  • Identify and resolve business challenges through cross-functional coordination
  • Monitor vendor performance metrics and provide data-driven recommendations for improvement
  • Execute intermediate negotiations for growth initiatives including deal terms and promotional agreements
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory management and supply chain efficiency
  • Mentor interns and support their development within the Vendor Services organization
  • Utilize creative problem-solving to address vendor challenges and unlock growth opportunities

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1+ years of experience in account management or project management
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Fluent in Spanish and English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with software and editing tools (including HTML, Excel and SQL)
  • Experience in online retail
  • Experience using analytical specific tools such as Google Analytics, SQL or HTML
