We are looking for a Sr. Technical Program Manager to lead a team responsible for improving our drones autonomous flying capabilities. You will lead a data collection team made up of technical and non-technical roles. You will be the single-thread leader managing the team responsible for enhancing / maintaining our data capture drone fleet, capturing data, performing quality data checks, and handing it off to stakeholders. Your work directly impacts Prime Air's ability to deliver to more customers around the world.
Export Control License: This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.
- Key job responsibilities
- Empower your team to make appropriate tradeoffs and ensure clear communication of goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes
- Drive operational excellence by implementing process improvements, identifying and mitigating risks, and establishing metrics to track team performance and project success
- Manage budget planning, resource allocation, and build relationships with senior leadership and stakeholders
- Develop strategic roadmaps and long-term vision, while managing team performance through hiring, coaching, career development, and performance reviews
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of people management experience
- 5+ years of technical program management experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- Experience managing technical and non-technical roles
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience with Agile or other program management methodologies

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
