Position: Principal Technical Business Development (multiple positions available)
Location: Santa Monica, CA

Multiple Positions Available:

(1) Drive transportation and logistics business growth through effective engagement with C-level executives, line of business owners, logistics leaders, third party solution providers, and others.
(2) Establish Amazon Transportation Services as a primary transportation provider across the strategic accounts you manage, promoting the entire ATS products and services portfolio to Enterprise Customers.
(3) Lead and influence customers to leverage Amazon Transportation Services to improve the efficiency and scale of their operational network.
(4) Responsible for defining a compounding, multi-year sales strategy, and growing a book of business with a set of Enterprise Customers.
(5) Establish a new relationship between Amazon and the Customer which requires the ability to productively engage c-level executives and articulate Amazon Freight's vision and value.
(6) Work closely with cross-functional teams to determine how to meet the needs of envisioned customer experiences and unlock maximum partnership value.
(7) Resolve operational roadblock to enable business growth.
(8) Deliver business outcomes while guiding Customers to operate more efficiently with new innovations and network capacity.
(9) Relay market needs to internal Amazon teams including Product Management and Technical. Act as liaison on customer and Amazon to ensure integration of our product in customer’s technology landscape.
(10) Assess portfolio risk, anticipate challenges, and provide escalation management when necessary.
(11) Domestic travel up to 30% to perform role responsibilities may be required.
(40 hours / week, 8:00am-5:00pm, Salary Range $176,100 to $238,200/year)

Basic Qualifications

Employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Engineering, Business Analytics, or related field and three years of experience in the job offered, or in supply chain, transportation, freight industry in operations management, market development, senior account management, or a related occupation.
In the alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Engineering, Business Analytics, or related field and five years of progressively responsible post baccalaureate experience in the job offered, or in supply chain, transportation, freight industry in operations management, market development, senior account management, or a related occupation.
Must have three years of experience in each of the following:
(1) Enterprise transportation planning and operations.
(2) Cross functional management.
(3) Transportation innovation.
(4) Project management to deliver and manage critical project milestones.
(5) Experience with relationship building and influencing at the C-level of Fortune 500 customers.
(6) Experience using technology tools including Share Point, Excel, Access, Word, CRM, JDA (TMS), SAP (SD/APO), Oracle, PLM, Analytics/Data (Domo, Tableau).
(7) People management experience.
Domestic travel up to 30% to perform role responsibilities may be required.
The pay range for this position in Santa Monica, CA is $176,100 to $238,200/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
