Amazon MGM Studios is seeking a Booking & Distribution Lead for Brazil to drive strategic planning and P&L development for all Amazon MGM theatrical releases in the territory. This position will lead performance analysis across the theatrical market, competitive intelligence, box office forecasting, and financial management while executing distribution strategies aligned with global studio objectives. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, strategic thinking, and close collaboration with Business Intelligence teams. This position reports to the Theatrical Distribution Manager.
- Key job responsibilities
- Undertake routine competitive analysis and release date viability assessments to ensure optimal positioning for Amazon MGM titles
- Conduct performance analysis of all films released theatrically in the market (box office and admissions/opening weekend and lifetime)
- Develop and maintain box office and admissions forecasts for all films in the theatrical market
- Prepare and deliver sales materials, industry communications and trade screening presentations
- Prepare comprehensive film performance and industry analysis reports
- Managing festival distribution activity for the slate, coordinating submissions, premieres and curator relationships in coordination with marketing and operations / materials teams
- Research market trends and comparable title performance
- Assist in creating revenue forecasts and territory strategies for all titles
- Manage the planning, production, classification and delivery of trailers and promotional assets across Brazil
- Maintain and monitor accurate records of sales, terms and payments, in conjunction with the Finance Manager
Distribution Operations:
- Process exhibitor bookings and holdovers
- Oversee film occupancy rate reviews
- Manage KDM (Key Delivery Message) operations
- Control satellite and HD shipping operations
- Coordinating ongoing operations with the preferred Content Delivery Service company
- Supervise daily box office reporting for Amazon MGM bookings in internal systems
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience in theatrical distribution, sales, or administrative positions in the entertainment industry
- Bilingual fluency in English and Portuguese (required)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI for complex data analysis and forecasting
- Proven experience managing P&L and financial planning processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to translate data into strategic insights

- Expertise in financial modeling and forecasting
- Strong negotiating skills with partners and exhibitors, with proven ability to influence while facilitating constructive dialogue
- Proactive mindset with effective communication skills and ability to learn quickly
- Highly organized and responsible with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Deep understanding of Brazilian theatrical exhibition market dynamics
- Knowledge of international distribution practices and standards
- Familiarity with box office economics and revenue models
- Understanding of competitive landscape and market trends
