Global Finance Solutions (GFS) team is a fast-paced, team-focused, dynamic environment and delivering great experiences for our customers is top priority. GFS is seeking a Production Planning Analyst to support our Latam Production Planning team.

The Production Planning Team ensures Amazon’s Fulfillment and Sort Centers have robust and cost optimal labor plans while constantly innovating in a number of areas aimed at improving our customers’ experience. We are looking for a passionate, analytical and technical person to work with us on innovating and improving our processes on behalf of our customers across different geographies. If you are someone who has shown success in analyzing, diving deep in complex data, streamlining and identifying process improvement opportunities and pioneering new ways to do things, we’d like to talk to you.

Key job responsibilities
The Production Planning analyst will be expected to deliver weekly capacity plans for Amazon Fulfillment and Sort Centers. These capacity plans will help influence network level strategic decisions through partnering with senior stakeholders in the sites as well as the network. The ideal candidate will possess both an analytical background that enables them to support network planning and demonstrate the ability to think broadly and strategically about operational initiatives. They will experience a wide range of problem solving situations, requiring extensive use of data collection and analysis. They will work in lock-step with multiple business teams including operations leadership, HR, finance leadership, supply chain and transportation teams of the network they will plan for.

Basic Qualifications

  • Portuguese and English language skills (verbal and written)
  • 2+years of experience in Planning Capacity, Workflow, Financial Planning, Operations Field Management or related fields.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, finance or related field
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Operations, demand and Capacity Planning or Supply Chain
  • Experience in SQL/VBA or any visual analytics platform like Power

BI or Tableau:

  • Experience with performance metrics
  • Ability to build scalable analytical models
  • Direct experience in quantitative research or analyses
  • Master’s degree (Business, Engineering, Statistics or related field)
