Community Operations' mission is to earn the trust of the community by amplifying their voice, transforming it into actionable insights, and building solutions that empower Amazonians to innovate on behalf of our customers.
As a Sr. Community Manager, you will lead and contribute to complex cross-functional projects that drive Amazon's community impact and operational excellence across your assigned geography. Success in this role requires exceptional relationship-building skills and mastery in influencing without direct authority. You'll own solution deployment across diverse teams with competing priorities at director and VP levels. You will strategically partner with multiple stakeholders to assess root causes, build consensus, and recommend the right action plans that align business and community needs. Your expertise in navigating complex organizational dynamics, crafting compelling data-driven narratives, and mobilizing resources through strategic influence will be essential. Advanced problem-solving, executive-level stakeholder management, and bar-raising project management are fundamental to this senior role.
- Key job responsibilities
- Drive data-driven analysis of community concerns, leveraging multiple inspection mechanisms and AI-powered solutions to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions that enhance Amazon's community relationships
- Lead strategic initiatives to embed community considerations into business planning and decision-making processes, coaching senior leaders and operations teams on proactive impact assessment and mitigation
- Orchestrate cross-functional responses to community challenges, influencing multiple stakeholders across business lines to develop and implement scalable solutions
- Design and drive adoption of community engagement frameworks, best practices, and training programs that strengthen our operations teams' capability to build positive community relationships
- Spearhead community readiness strategies for new site launches, including providing hands-on guidance to operations teams to ensure successful community needs integration
- Mentor and develop Community Specialists through structured coaching and career development programs
- Travel up to 25% to support critical community initiatives, maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders up to director and VP level across multiple geographies
Basic Qualifications
- Experience in program or project management
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- Experience leading process improvements
- Proficiency in written and spoken German.
