The AVS Sr. Retail Vendor Specialist is a strategic leader within Amazon's Vendor Services team, managing complex vendor relationships and driving transformational growth initiatives. This role requires advanced expertise across all five AVS pillars and the ability to navigate challenging business situations while developing innovative solutions. The position combines deep business acumen with strategic thinking to accelerate vendor growth, enhance operational excellence, and influence program development across multiple categories or business groups. You'll help Amazon create the Earth's greatest shopping experience – a store featuring more products and brands with the most compelling content compared to any other online or offline store.

  • Key job responsibilities
  • Manage complex vendor portfolios (cross-GL, large catalogs, multiple brands) requiring sophisticated business strategies
  • Independently develop and execute comprehensive Joint Business Plans that drive significant business impact
  • Monitor and analyze vendor performance metrics, providing regular insights and recommendations for long term growth
  • Lead insightful analyses to identify patterns and opportunities across vendor portfolios
  • Create innovative approaches to accelerate vendor growth and overcome complex business challenges
  • Develop strategic responses to challenging business situations (cost increases, supply chain issues, legal matters)
  • Lead high-stakes vendor negotiations and business reviews
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders across functions

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in French and English with respect to complex technical instructions and concepts
  • Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Analytical and strategic planning capabilities
  • Proven track record of managing complex stakeholder relationships

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of supply chain management and retail operations
  • Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects
  • Programming skills (SQL, Python) for data analysis
  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically with good attention to detail
