Prime Air is seeking an experienced engineering leader who combines superb technical, research and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively.
Experience in Navigation, Guidance and Flight Controls Software is highly desired. A successful candidate will be comfortable working with a team of top-notch developers and collaborating with our systems, test, safety and security teams. • Key job responsibilities
• Lead multiple teams (manager of managers) of talented research and applied scientists, flight controls and embedded software engineers.
• Manage and develop employees, including hiring, retention, performance management, mentoring and capability/skill development
• Lead architecture, design, implementation, and operational support of key components on the Prime Air delivery drone
• Act as point of contact for communications dealing with project deliverables, setting the expectation, managing priorities, technologies, and management issues
• Establish high bar for processes and standards in the execution of all projects

The base pay for this position ranges from $165,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $286,000/year in our highest geographic market. Basic Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience
• 5+ years of engineering team management experience
• 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams
• Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
