Job Description:
Amazon MX Player seeks a Senior Financial Analyst for the Marketing Finance role in the Finance Team. As one of India's leading OTT platforms, Amazon MX Player has rapidly grown its content library and user base, offering premium scripted series, movies, and original content. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who wants to work in a fast-paced media business, is passionate about digital streaming and content strategy, and is interested in directly supporting marketing initiatives that drive customer acquisition and engagement.
The successful candidate will be analytical in approach and have an ability to drive financial insights that inform marketing investment decisions. This role requires a self-starter who has keen attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and be a strategic advisor to marketing and business leaders. The candidate must have the aptitude to incorporate new approaches and methodologies and be able to develop and define key business questions around marketing ROI, customer acquisition costs, and content performance metrics. This role also has regular interaction with Marketing, Content, Product, and Finance teams across Amazon and requires good interpersonal and communication skills.

Partner with Marketing team to develop annual marketing budgets and quarterly forecasts aligned to business growth objectives

Create and implement marketing ROI models and customer acquisition cost frameworks to optimize marketing spend efficiency

Financial Planning & Analysis for marketing campaigns, including pre-launch projections and post-campaign performance analysis
-
Develop financial models to evaluate content marketing strategies and their impact on viewership and engagement metrics
-
Drive automation of marketing finance reporting through collaboration with BI and analytics teams
-
Conduct competitive benchmarking analysis on marketing spend efficiency across streaming platforms

Support business case development for new marketing channels and partnership opportunities

Basic qualifications
-
3+ years of finance experience
-
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field

Preferred qualifications
-
CA or MBA,
-
4+ years of business finance experience
-
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, Cognos) and other financial systems (example: Oracle)
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA, or CFA
- Knowledge of Tableau
