Amazon Leo is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Amazon Leo will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.
The Sr. Partner Solutions Architect will play a pivotal role in enabling Third Party (3P) Partner technical integration strategy and services. The successful candidate will be a trusted advisor, working to integrate Amazon Leo and partner systems to facilitate a wide range of technical integrations with distribution partners. Amazon Leo is looking for thought leaders who are able to create innovative solutions to problems and leverage learnings to increase integration efficiency and operational success. You will have the opportunity to help shape Amazon Leo's early partner engagements, and develop scaling mechanisms as the team expands.
Export Control Requirement: This position may require access to information, technology, or hardware that is subject to export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Arms Regulations (ITAR). Employment in this position is contingent upon obtaining any required export licenses or other approvals from the United States government. As such, the successful candidate must be eligible to obtain any necessary export licenses or approvals based on their nationality, citizenship, and any other factors considered by the applicable export control regulations
- Key job responsibilities
- Own the technical system integration and technical system validation with Amazon Leo 3P Partners
- Dive deep with both 3P Partners and internal stakeholders to determine technical requirements, architectures, and outcomes
- Advocate for 3P Partners and provide feedback to Amazon Leo's internal teams, including product, engineering, and operations.
- Collaborate with 3P Partner Business Development, Sales, and Technical teams to develop best practices and scalable solutions
- Create detailed technical requirements and guidance for 3P Partners as they design and integrate their systems and solutions with Amazon Leo’s offerings
- Manage the technical aspects of partner onboarding from initial planning to tactical execution and work with key internal and external stakeholders to enable the partner’s country launch.
- Provide input into central partner programs and assist in creating central guidance and tools to support rapid regional scaling of our 3P Partner network.
- Research and identify new opportunities to innovate on behalf of our customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, consisting of both short-form and long-form documents and a combination of internal and public speaking
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- 3+ years of end to end product delivery experience
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
- Experience in handling large-scale data integration and analytics pipelines in a cloud environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of presentations and whiteboarding skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal and external executives, IT management, and developers
- Familiarity with telecom and privacy regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
- Working with product and engineering teams to influence feature and service development, and influencing roadmap through customer feedback
- Understanding of security best practices for APIs and cloud services, including IAM, OAuth, and encryption
- Strong understanding of BSS/OSS frameworks, including service provisioning, billing, customer relationship management (CRM), order management, and network management
