The Capacity Scheduling Manager for Central Operations at Amazon Logistics Brazil (AMZL BRA) is responsible for leading the end-to-end capacity scheduling process across all delivery channels — including DSP (Delivery Service Providers), Flex, and first- and third-party (1P/3P) models — ensuring accurate and timely route planning across all stations in the Brazil network. This role sits at the intersection of operations, data, and technology, owning the weekly capacity planning cycle, the daily (D+1) capacity review process, and the continuous improvement of scheduling tools and workflows across the full channel portfolio.

The ideal candidate is a highly analytical, process-driven leader who thrives in ambiguous environments, can manage complex multi-stakeholder workflows, and is passionate about building scalable operational systems. This role is critical to the success of AMZL Brazil's last-mile delivery network and will directly influence driver utilization, route efficiency, and delivery partner performance across all channels.

Key job responsibilities

  • Capacity Planning & Scheduling: Own the weekly (W-1) and daily (D+1) capacity planning cycles across all delivery channels, ensuring 100% SPR coverage, timely slot acceptance, and complete driver allocation across all stations
  • Process Improvement & Automation: Identify and eliminate manual bottlenecks in the scheduling workflow; partner with tech and product teams to build an integrated, multi-channel scheduling platform with measurable outcomes (90% reduction in manual data entry, 95% fewer errors, zero routing failures)
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary liaison between Channel, Capacity, and Planning teams and all delivery channel partners; coordinate real-time capacity decisions and align with Business Coaches on channel share strategy
  • Team Leadership: Build and develop a high-performing Central Ops team; define SOPs, training materials, and performance standards for the scheduling function across all channels
  • Analytics & Reporting: Monitor scheduling KPIs and error patterns across all channels; develop dashboards for real-time capacity visibility and leverage ML forecasting tools to proactively manage volume fluctuations

A day in the life
Your day blends operational oversight, real-time decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration. Mornings are about assessing capacity across all delivery channels and flagging gaps early. Midday, you lead the daily capacity review, closing coverage shortfalls and aligning with planning and channel partners. Fridays shift to the weekly planning cycle, locking in capacity for the week ahead. Every day, you balance firefighting with building — driving process improvements and keeping the network on track.

About the team
The Central Operations team at AMZL Brazil is a newly established, high-impact function responsible for the scheduling and capacity management of all delivery channels across the Brazil last-mile network. We are building this team from the ground up, with a mission to transform a highly manual, Excel-driven process into a scalable, automated, and data-driven operation that serves the full spectrum of Amazon's delivery models in Brazil.

Our team works at the heart of Amazon Logistics Brazil, connecting delivery channel partners, the Capacity Team, the Planning Team, and Business Coaches to ensure that every route is planned, every driver is allocated, and every package reaches its destination on time. We operate in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment where operational rigor and innovative thinking go hand in hand.

We are part of a global community of Central Ops teams, with counterparts in Japan, India, and other geographies, and we actively collaborate across borders to share best practices and co-develop technology solutions.
